HANSE YACHTS – RIG, SAILS AND TECHNOLOGY (news-selftacking jib)

The constructions of Hanse Yachts are made for simple and safe handling right from the start. The area of the Self-tacking jib and the mainsail area require precise fine-tuning with the ballast of a yacht.

RIG
The modern 9/10 fractured rig with tapered mast and trim able backstay provide ideal handling during sail trim and easiest operation while sailing.

BATTENED MAINSAIL
Hanse Yachts boast a standard fully battened main sail. This ensures the design shape of the sail up all the way to the top and therefore provides ideal propulsion and safe handling.

SELF-TACKING JIB
The standard self-tacking jib with furling gear and additional UV-protection in the after leech is a typical construction characteristic of the Hanse Yachts and creates the basis for easy handling.

SINGLE LINE FURLING SYSTEM
Both the foresail and the mainsail with first and second reef can be easily operated by a single reef line. Ideal for sailing with a small crew.

MAINDROP-SYSTEM
The mainsail is simply gathered in the Main-Drop-System, a tarpaulin integrated into the boom, and belongs to the standard configuration, together with the Lazy Jacks.

DECK HARDWARE
All hardware is ideally placed where it is needed from a yachtsman’s point of view and is therefore easily reachable. Detail solutions like immiscible spring cleats emphasize this claim.
